Mountain scenery, sampled into translucent kohakukan jelly. A piece of Taiwan you can gift, and eat.把山景像取樣一樣切下來，做成透明的錦玉羹。一份可以送人、也可以吃掉的台灣。
01 The Spark緣起
In Taiwan, you see mountains everywhere. Nearly 300 peaks rise above 3,000 meters, and with 70% of the island covered in mountains, Taiwan has the highest mountain density in the world. Look down almost any street, and there one stands, right at the end of the view.在台灣，到處都看得到山。全島有將近 300 座超過 3,000 公尺的高山，70% 的山地密度是世界之冠。隨便走在一條街上，抬頭，山就站在街景的盡頭。
We kept asking ourselves one question: how do you give this scenery to someone as a gift?我們一直在想同一個問題：要怎麼把眼前這份美景，送給別人？
02 The Concept概念
"Sample" means both a specimen, and a taste.Sample 一語雙關：既是「樣本」，也是「淺嚐」。
So we cut the landscape the way you would take a sample: one small cube of scenery at a time. Each sample becomes kohakukan, a translucent Japanese jelly, holding a mountain view inside.於是我們像取樣一樣，把風景切下一小塊一小塊。每一塊樣本都做成錦玉羹，一種透明的和菓子，裡面封存著一片山景。
03 The Visual Language視覺語言

The landscape is sampled into squares, so the identity is too: small squares stack into the shape of 山, mountain. The logotype 樣山 / SAMPLE MT. is drawn on the same grid, and the water and earth series each carry their own supporting glyphs.風景被切成一塊塊方形的樣本，識別也是：小方塊堆疊出一個「山」字。標準字「樣山 SAMPLE MT.」建立在同一套網格上，水系列與土系列也各自有輔助圖形。

Five mountain ranges, five local fruits: tea plum for the Ali Range, grape for the Jade Range, peach for the Snow Range, banana for the Central Range, passion fruit for the Coast Range.五大山脈，對應五種在地水果：阿里山山脈是茶梅、玉山山脈是玉珠葡萄、雪山山脈是水蜜桃、中央山脈是香蕉、海岸山脈是百香果。
Two series, water and earth兩個系列：水與土
The Water Series captures water changing form in the mountains: sea of clouds, waterfall, rime, lake, river. The Earth Series pairs kohakukan with chocolate to hold the land itself: stone falls, cirque lakes, dark jade, mud volcanoes.水系列捕捉水在山裡的各種型態：雲海、瀑布、霧凇、湖、溪流。土系列則用錦玉羹加上巧克力，封存土地的變化：石瀑、冰斗湖、墨玉、泥火山。
One bite, one mountain一口，一座山
Each cube is 3 × 3 × 3 cm, exactly one bite. A mountain you can hold between two fingers.每一塊都是 3 × 3 × 3 公分，剛好一口。一座可以捏在兩指之間的山。
04 In the Wild展開
The packaging keeps the sampling language: specimen-like boxes with color-coded sleeves, gray for the mountain, orange and blue for the series.包裝延續取樣的語言：像標本盒一樣的外盒，配上灰、橘、藍的系列色套。
